Jerusalem

Cries of pain reach God from its communities. Nowhere has fighting been so fervent or hatred so deep. Yet nowhere have so many prayers been said. Its calling is peace and to be a cradle of interfaith dialogue, but a great deal remains to be done.

Jerusalem is the problem. Jerusalem, the desired city. For Jews, their eternal capital; yet Palestinians too will claim it. Nothing is forgotten there. Everything is enveloped in an atmosphere of vengeance that, sooner or later, exacts its toll.
